Alpine

Crystal Mtn Alpine Club

FIS/U16/U14 Junior Coach combined with Head Timing /Race Crew

We have a unique full time 12 month (or) 7-month position, open for a Junior coach (FIS/U16/U14) combined with overseeing our Race/Timing crew.  Position can be year around, or if preferred, a 7 – 8 month position.

CMAC runs one Junior race (FIS/U16/U14) and 3 – Youth U12 and under races each year, so most of the time would be spent coaching junior racers. We have a strong need for someone that would like to take on the task of race timing preparation and help with the off season wiring and testing of the timing system. This person could be a current coach and then trained for the position. It should be easy to learn for a current coach.

Crystal Mt. is a fun steep and deep free ski Mt., plus we have had lots of success on the race circuit. If you take this position, be ready to do some all-mountain skiing when the snow is deep and then plenty of training and traveling with the Junior racers.

Plain Valley Nordic Team

Program Director / Head Coach

Plain Valley Ski Trails (PVST)’s mission is to create and sustain a high-quality ski trail system that serves the community and funds barrier-free ski educational programs that motivate individual and team achievement. PVST is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity. Our youth programs, known as the Plain Valley Nordic Team (PVNT), offer accessible year-round ski education programs, fostering an environment where we encourage each other to set and achieve goals within a supportive community.

PVNT has the advantage of managing its own trail system, the Plain Valley Ski Trails. These trails span the length of the Plain Valley, including 25 kilometers groomed daily for skate and classic. Grooming operations are tailored to meet the coaches’ needs, ensuring optimal conditions for training. The valley provides excellent dry-land training opportunities, including running, roller skiing and biking terrain.

PVNT is a well established club in the PNW (pacific northwest division). Its diverse youth ski education programs serve over 120 children from preschool to high school age, providing outdoor exposure and racing opportunities up to the highest levels, including Nationals. The accolades speak volumes about PVNT’s impact. PVNT is a three year running top 15 club at Junior Nationals. From national championships to All-American honors and even spots on the US Ski Team, the achievements of PVNT skiers are testament to their dedication and the program’s efficacy. Yet, beyond the medals and titles, Plain Valley Ski Trails harbors a deeper ambition — to shatter barriers and empower children to reach for the stars, fostering not just skiers, but resilient, healthy young adults.

Position: PVNT Program Director & Head Coach

As a full-time, year-round role, the PVNT Program Director & Head Coach will lead our youth ski education programs and oversee a team of 130 skiers and 20+ coaches. Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 with benefits.
